Intermediate Program
A program for those who can already read but who need more extensive practice in learning to read faster, recognize new words, and comprehend what is read. Students will become more confident readers and develop new interests and experiences through reading; students are able to choose the stories and articles that interest them most. They will be given help to train their eyes to move smoothly and quickly across the text. After reading a selection, students will answer questions that will help them think carefully about what they read, remember the most important information, and connect what they read with what they already know.
